Home | Great Bear Rainforest | Sinking Seal
This Harbour Seal photographed in the pouring rain in the Great Bear Rainforest almost makes it look like it is so heavy that it is causing the stump it’s laying on to sink below the surface, and make the other end pop-up above the surface. In actuality I “think” it’s just the shape and the size of the stump that is making it look like this, but it is funny never the less.
Harbour seals come if all different shades of blacks and browns, with different patterns of “spots” on them, however it’s interesting that on my three trips to the Great Bear Rainforest in the fall it’s like I always see this same one, because it is this same charcoal-like colour with white spots.
