Nature’s Bridge is one of those images that will stick in my mind for a long time…maybe even forever. Besides the uniqueness of photographing three cubs, to have the all form a line and walk across a “bridge” created by nature, as opposed to crossing the water is unforgettable. This image was captured during my 2014 trip into the Great Bear Rainforest, and we were informed that this “bridge” was actually washed away by all the rains that they had after our trip. So not only is this image unforgettable, but it’s also unique, as no one else other than us on the trip, is seeing these cubs cross this tree.

One of the tricky things about photographing in the Great Bear Rainforest is light…more specifically the lack of. With the dense trees, mostly overcast (sometimes even dark) skies, and rain. When photographing in the Great Bear Rainforest it’s a constant battle between shutter speed, aperture and ISO (and therefore noise of the image), and balancing all of them to get a great shot…because there is no lack of subjects.
