When waiting along the rivers and steams in the Great Bear Rainforest, you are hoping to see Spirit Bears, Black Bears, Dippers, Steller’s Jay, and maybe even Pine Martens. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see a family of River Otters amble out of the trees and along the river. By the look on her face, she was not expecting to see us standing there pointing big lenses at her either.
This surprise is why you should always keep looking because you never know what might pop out of the trees for a visit, and sometimes they don’t end up staying very long.
