Mud on Her Face...

She’s got mud on her face and she’s a big disgrace….oh, wait a minute….she was one of the highlights of our trip to the Great Bear Rainforest in 2018, despite coming with mud on her face.  After this pose she then proceeded to rub fish guts all over her face as well, so I guess she was not really feeling camera worthy on this day.

Sprit Bears are always exciting and special to see when you visit the Great Bear Rainforest, because they exist in such small population numbers, and only in this particular area of British Columbia.  After a day on the river where we were treated to Black Bears, River Otters, Mink, and several species of birds, we were very excited when she popped out of the forest.  We accepted her, dirty face and all.
