How's My Hair

This Sea Otter was photographed during our 2018 Great Bear Rainforest trip, which was exciting because it is not normally a trip which we see Sea Otters, we tend to be too far North for the large populations.

When we spotted this Sea Otter she was wrapped up in the kelp, and when she spotted us she disappeared for a few minutes.  Luckily she popped back up and allowed us to photograph her for quite some time while she groomed her fur.  Because Sea Otters do not have any blubber they are required to constantly eat, and groom their fur (to add air to it) in order to stay warm in the cool sea temperatures.
