An American Dipper in the enjoying an “Egg-cellent Lunch” of salmon eggs in the Great Bear Rainforest. American Dippers catch most of their food from underwater, and will either put just their head underwater, or almost fly with their entire bodies underwater. Their diets consists of different aquatic insects, worms, small fish, and as capture here fish eggs.

A unique fact that I learned after researching more about American Dippers is that they are the only bird in North America that is an aquatic songbird. And we had a few really loud singers while we were waiting for Black Bears and Spirit Bears along the rivers in the Great Bear Rainforest.
