Sea Lion Rock the boss
The Boss

There is no denying one thing about male sea lions (often called “bulls”) they are certainly the boss of their rookeries. This guy was sitting on top of the highest rock looking very large and very in charge.

With Steller Sea Lions there is an extreme dimorphism among the sexes, with males being at least two times larger than the females.  Their size is what helps establish and maintain dominance within a group on a rookery.
