Geronimo

A Stellar Sea Lion making a pretty big drop from the rock haul out into the water below.  I like that I was able to capture the Sea Lion while it was still quite high up in the air after launching himself off of the rocks.

While these guys can be quite awkward while on land, and makes less than graceful entrances into the water, they are incredibly smooth and graceful in the water. I couldn’t believe my GoPro footage from within the area of one of the haul outs when it captured the sea lions swimming by it.  It’s a complete contradiction to them while on land.
