An adorable little Sea Otter floating by our zodiac off the coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. This image was captured during my 2019 Marine Mammals photo tour, where we had a number of opportunities to photograph Sea Otters in different light and in different scenarios.
What I really like about this photo is the soft light created by the fog. The water calm water, and “white” light help to illuminate the Sea Otter and make him really stand out. I also like the soft blonde colors of the Sea Otter himself as he floated by.
