Sometimes when shooting in areas that have wolves, coyotes, and other predators, the Big Horn Sheep do not really get the attention that they deserve.

This decent sized male was nicely posed along-side the river with the mountains in the background.  It was actually interesting that several times on our trip after 3:30pm you could find a couple sheep in this very area, but earlier in the day they were no where to be seen.

This picture should serve as a reminder to never write-off any subject as “just a sheep”, because they could be in a really unique or picturesque setting if you look from another angle.  It was surprising how many people were shooting this guy from the other side, not even noticing the scenery (I guess that’s hard to do from behind a 600mm).
