Big Fella

This was one of the largest of the Dall Sheep that we saw on the two days we spent walking the mountainside in some of the most prime Dall Sheep territory. The horns on this guy were quite large with really defined ridges, especially close to his skull. These deep ridges are actually what can be used to age the Dall Sheep.

It was really neat to just sit in one area and have this large Dall Sheep just walk right along next to you, of course this is after spending some time letting them get comfortable with our presence and realizing that we are not a threat.  There are still spaces available to join in on our next adventure in November, contact me for more information.
