(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /var/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114Packing Away a Pink was captured during my first trip to BC to photograph grizzly’s during the salmon run. The trip was a short one, and included a stop in both Bella Coola, and Chilcotin.
This grizzly was photographed right after he caught a fresh pink salmon. As you can see in this photo, he went at it tail first, and this image captures the tail hanging out of his mouth while he stands on the rest of the fish.
It’s always cool to go somewhere new for the first time and discover things that you weren’t aware of with wildlife. For example, while watching them fish you would hear a loud “craaaack”, and I soon discovered was the Grizzly hitting the skull of the fish on a rock to kill it.
