Eyes off my Prize

This little Grizzly Bear cub really cracked me up when I saw this photo – he is possessively holding his fish away from us, but keeping his eye on us as he sinks his teeth into it.  It’s almost like he is saying “Eyes off my Prize, this one is all mine”.

This image was captured during the 2017 Fishing Grizzlies of the Taku trip, and was one of several Grizzly Bear cubs that we saw.  We saw everything from cubs of the year, to second year cubs, but he was one of the more entertaining cubs.  He went from fishing for himself, stealing fish from his mom, fighting with his mom, and even digging up water pipes at camp.  You never knew what to expect when this guy came around.
