Let Me See!

After being chased out of their “safe spot” in the Khutyzeymateen Estuary by a very large male Grizzly Bear, this mom and her three year old cub were on really high alert while they were feeding in the new place that they moved to.

The mother bear continuously was standing up to get a better view of the estuary to see if the male was anywhere close by.  And while I captured a few standing shots of the mother, none of them topped this image, where the cub rested his paw on his mother while standing to try and get a look for himself.

This was almost a scenario where I had too much lens, because I wasn’t expecting the cub to stand, and I wanted to isolate the standing mother.  Luckily I was able to squeeze the cub in for one shot, for this pretty much full-framer.
