A Grizzly Bear in the Khutzeymateen Estuary that looked like he was just treading water because it was not moving anywhere fast. The Khutzeymateen might be one of the best places to capture Grizzlies swimming in some pretty deep water in all of the BC Coast.
During low tide they can walk from one end of the estuary to the other, however during high tide, the water levels can be in excess of 10 feet, therefore leaving them no option if they need to move. They could be moving due to food supply, or even due to big bears pushing them around.
