While this mother Grizzly Bear didn’t seem all that keen or affectionate towards her cub, the same could not be said about the cub towards his mom. He was always trying to get close to her, or even nurse from her (despite the fact that he was pretty old and should soon be weened).
When she went and laid down on this stump, it was not long before the cub walked up and laid down and snuggled up to his mother. She seemed to tolerate him, for a little while at least.
