A Grizzly Bear stops and surveys the river to see where the fish are jumping, or may be pooled up in the lower water from the dropping tide.  The way she is standing really helps to emphasize the lighter coloured fur patches on her chest and underbelly.  I do not know for certain (because I didn’t do genetic testing), bit this bear very closely resembled another bear that we saw in this same area back in 2014 & 2015, and you can get a clear view of the lighter patches in the Rubbing on a Tree image.

I love that she decided to stop and pose in front of two very beautiful moss covered fallen trees, which really sets this image apart as a coastal, Great Bear Rainforest, image, as opposed to those images that would be captured along a river in the interior of British Columbia, or Alberta.
