For Red Foxes in Yellowstone National Park during the winter hunting requires a lot of concentrating and using all their senses (not just their eyes) in order to find their next meal, which is hidden from sight below the surface of the snow.
This fox sat quietly while it listened to the snow around it, but either was already full, or there was nothing around, and he was just taking a break and didn’t end up doing any hunting.
I love the rusty red and how it stands out from the snowy landscape that it is surrounded by.
