This is the classic Sea Otter pose, with their feet up in the air staying dry, their face all fluffy and dry, and they paws on their chest.  You can tell that this Sea Otter didn’t mind us stopping and taking some photos of him, because he didn’t even bother moving or swimming away, just kept floating and resting (and keeping dry). This is the best kind of photo, when you can take an image of a wild animal completely naturally without disturbing their behaviour. It isn’t always easy to do, because most wild animals are weary of humans, but I feel like the photos are more rewarding when they do,
