The Khutzeymateen Grizzly Sanctuary, or the “Khutz” encompasses over 44,000 hectares of land and is home to many Grizzly Bears. In the spring time their diets consists of sedge grasses, but they are resourceful and will eat what they can in order to make sure they pack on the pounds that were lost over the long hibernation.
This Grizzly Bear wandered out to the edge of the water to enjoy a drink along with the fresh sedge grass that was growing on along the edge of the water during low tide.
