Great Gray Owls are always amazing when they allow you to get close and you realize actually how large they really are. This particular owl allowed me to get pretty close, this image is pretty much full frame with a 500mm lens.
What strikes me about this owl is how it looks absolutely statuesque, and almost didn’t even seem real, it stayed so still while I photographed it.
