Slow Approach

A two year old Grizzly Bear photographed during my 2016 Fishing Grizzlies Trip slowly approaches the area where we are photographing her (or him). It’s interesting to watch cubs when they are this age and how some cubs are still very dependent on mom, whereas others start to venture a little further, and start to fend for themselves a little more, in all likelihood this is their last summer with mom.

This cub was a little apprehensive of us at first, and stood in this spot checking us out for a while.  It’s almost like you could see the thoughts going through her mind “are these people a threat”. Eventually it determined that we were not a threat, probably because mom seemed pretty comfortable walking right by us.

If you are interested in visiting this unique area of remote Northern British Columbia, there are still spot available. Contact Brad Hill of Natural Art Images.
