Fall watercolors was captured during the first day of my first trip into Bella Coola, British Columbia. Having never been there before, and just going based on what I could find online, I had no idea what to expect in terms of wildlife sightings or quality of images.
This bald eagle was perched in a tree on the water’s edge, likely waiting for an easy meal (a half-dead salmon, or something left behind by the bears). What strikes me about this image, is the background and what I would call “fall watercolors” as the background almost looks as if it were painted, and the eagle placed in front of the backdrop.
