Essence of the Rainforest

One of the main reasons to visit the Great Bear Rainforest is for the Spirit Bear which is the essence of the Great Bear Rainforest. These white colored Black Bears only exist in the Great Bear Rainforest, off the coast of British Columbia.

Don’t be fooled by their white coats, they are not albino, but instead carry a double recessive gene which causes them to be blondes instead of having black fur. And they not found any where else in the world, so to have the opportunity to see them for the last few years has been a real treat.
