I love photographing Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, because they are a challenge, and you often do not know what photo you end up with, until you get back to the computer and starting reviewing your images.  For example, I did not know that I had this photo of the dolphin coming out of the water, until I got back from the trip and had time to look at my images.

What I like about this image is that the dolphin is creating quite the a unique stream of water coming off the fin, and the dolphin was still partially in the water, but because the water was so clear you can see it under the water.  I also like the reflection that is created by the dolphin in this photo.

If you have never witnessed dolphins or porpoises riding the bow of a boat, it’s really quite amazing, how they swim across the front and even keeps up to the front of the boat and swims right along the bow without touch it.  It’s really quite something, and really exciting.
