Look What I Caught

A young male Grizzly Bear proudly showing off his fish as if to say to us “Look what I caught”.  This year there were tons of pink salmon in the river where we were watching the Grizzlies, which made photographing them a lot of fun.  The fish were mostly still all alive, and quite fiesty, so they put up a good fight against the Grizzly Bears that were employing many different tactics to catch a fish.

It was actually pretty interesting because this bear often took the fish he caught to a little gravel bar to eat them instead of eating them where he caught them.  This provided us great opportunities to photograph him carrying the fish around, like you see in this image.
