Side-Eye

A Dall Sheep giving me some serious side-eye in the Yukon during a weekend adventure this past March. Unfortunately it was one of those situations when you end up with too much lens in your hands and not enough time to switch out for something else, when this pretty large male Dall Sheep with beautiful horns stood up and started giving some awesome poses. However for me they ended up being head shot poses, and I was unable to capture some of the stunning backgrounds in this particular image.

I think this was the largest male that we saw that day, and you can see that he has a pretty impressive curl to his horns. Other than laying in the mud and dirtying up his hind legs, I love the color and softness of the fur. We are hoping to go back again this November, and if you would like to join us please contact me at [email protected] for more information.
