Mirror Image

Having the opportunity to travel to places like the Great Bear Rainforest, and the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, can really make you greedy for what a Grizzly Bear image needs to look like. This can make shooting road-side from the Alberta National Parks a real challenge, especially if you want to take more than tightly cropped portraits.

This image from Jasper National Park is really a unique image that I was able to capture there in 2014, because it provided a perfect mirror image of the Grizzly Bear as it walked along the side of the very calm lake and stopped a few times to pose. This was definitely a step up of some of the other images I had from this trip, of courting Grizzly Bears with roadside trash in the images, which is really such a shame.
